Building the Dungeon of Eldergaard, A Developer’s Struggle to Bring the Darkness Alive

I’m working on a new dungeon for Eclipse of Eldergaard, a hidden boss area that’s pushing my level design skills to the edge. It’s tough, chaotic, and exciting, but I’m giving it everything I’ve got. Join our Discord and help shape this world with your ideas.

Building Something New for Eclipse of Eldergaard: A Dungeon Worth Dying In (Maybe 😅)

Alright, so here’s the deal, I’ve been cooking up something new for Eclipse of Eldergaard, and I’ll be honest… I’m stepping way out of my comfort zone on this one.

I’ve been working on creating a dungeon or hidden boss chamber, something mysterious, unpredictable, and maybe even a little cursed. The kind of place that makes you nervous before you even reach the boss.

But damn… level designing is way harder than it looks.

Trying to make a map feel alive, not just like a box with corridors, is honestly one of the toughest things I’ve faced so far. I don’t want it to just look good; I want it to feel like it has a soul… like something’s waiting for you in there, watching from the dark.

I’m not a professional-level designer (at least not yet 😅), but I’m pushing myself to create something that’ll surprise you guys, something that makes you go, “Oh damn, this actually feels different.”

I’ve also opened up a Discord server, where you can hop in, drop some feedback, or just chill and talk about the game. If you’ve got ideas or even wild suggestions on what could make the dungeon better, I’m all ears.

So yeah… that’s where I’m at.
A bit nervous, a bit excited, and definitely curious to know what you think.

How’s it looking so far?
Bad, very bad, or straight-up trash? 😂

Let’s make this world of Eclipse of Eldergaard something truly worth exploring, together.
